Description |
Organisations from across the region have received a timely boost with support from the University of Sunderland via its Graduate Internship Scheme.
In the past three months 18 University graduates have been employed by the University on a six-month basis and placed with organisations from a range of sectors. Drawing on funding, which it successfully bid for through the Economic Challenge Investment Fund and the Regional Development Agency One Northeast, the University has developed a range of services to support North East businesses through the economic downturn and the internship scheme is proving a major success.
The University has held an internship event at CitySpace, on the City Campus, attended by the graduate interns, their supervisors and University staff, to officially mark the launch of its first Internship Scheme.
