Description |
Following the overwhelming success of their August seminars; Equality North East, in partnership with Northumberland Business Service Limited (NBSL), is pleased to announce a series of ‘Equality and Diversity in the Workplace’ seminars to be held throughout the region during November. These 2-hour seminars will offer delegates an insight into equality and diversity and its increasingly important role in business.
The seminars will help delegates:
Raise awareness of equality and diversity and its increasing impact on businesses
Improve knowledge of the Public Sector procurement process - where equality and diversity ‘fits’ and why it is receiving increased ‘weighting’
Understand current and evolving legislation and inform on the impact of The Equality Bill
Appreciate the case for equality and diversity as a competitive differentiator
Identify and rapidly access business support funding* to help improve equality and diversity competencies through appropriate training, consultancy, coaching and mentoring
Who should attend?
Strategic decision makers from SME organisations within the Private and Third Sectors
Learning Providers that deliver services e.g. ‘Train to Gain’, on behalf of the Public Sector and are subject to Ofsted inspection. This also includes representatives from Further and Higher Education
Any organisation that hopes to bid for or retain work with the Public Sector
Places will be strictly limited to two delegates per organisation and we expect high demand. Places will be allocated on a ‘first-come-first-served’ basis and we would encourage organisations to complete the booking form and return it to Equality North East as soon as possible.
*Eligibility criteria exist. The criteria will be advised by NBSL during the seminars. NB: All organisations that attended the August seminars and were eligible for financial support were successful in their funding application.
