Under the excellent stewardship of the Steering Group YOUR Business Forum is developing momentum and increased membership. The recent events:

Ø Killer Presentations by Colin Kendall of www.7presentations.com
were both very well attended and received excellent feedback, we are now developing a schedule of events for the full year and aim to have at least 12 events per year. The obvious value from a member’s perspective is that they are also able to attend events across the regional networks of business forums and clubs under the banner of Business Clubs North East (BCNE).
A time for Change – at the most recent Steering Group meeting we recognised that we need to re-brand and re-name the Forum due to the forthcoming changes to a Unitary Authority (April 2009) where the Borough of Sedgefield as an identity will become less relevant over time. The group agreed on the new name of South Durham Business Network (SDBN) and have already secured the domain name www.sdbn.org.uk and designed it’s new logo. The network will continue to support and serve the businesses across what is now Sedgefield Borough but also look to work and collaborate with the Business Clubs, Networks and Forums across the region with BCNE as the umbrella organisation.
