NEW NAME FOR INVESTORS IN PEOPLE CENTRE

Date

31 July 2008

Description

The North East’s licensed centre for Investors in People has adopted a new name, launched a new website and expanded its team as part of a drive to help more of the region’s businesses boost their productivity and profit. The newly-named Investors in People North East remains a part of Sunderland-based Assessment North East but the name change is designed to make it easier for new and existing IIP companies to find and link-in to the organisation. North East companies have been praised by IIPNE Managing Director Robert Macleod for recognising the many benefits of IIP and for their enthusiasm and commitment. A recent two year study led by the Institute for Employment Studies established that the average non-IIP organisation would generate in the region of £176.35 per employee extra in gross profits by utilising the IIP standard. The new streamlined website www.iipne.co.uk is already attracting considerable attention. It includes free online interactive toolkits that enable any business – whether an Investor in People or not – to measure its development and business objectives around core areas such as strategic planning, effective management, culture and communication and people development.
