David Turner - Company Secretary
Business Manager for NatWest in Stockton for 9 years before taking early retirement in late 1996, Dave is actively involved in the Teesside Business Community through his Charity/Committee positions with a number of Local organisations. Prior to moving to Stockton he spent time on Internal Audit Duties and in a Personnel role in the East Midlands with the Bank, as well as a period of secondment with an Executive Training Project at Nottingham University. His main hobby is Motorsport, although now in an administrative position rather than as a competitor!
Jessica Trotman - Project Co-ordinator
Jessica is responsible for the day to day running of BCNE, including the Your Business magazine.
Monica Anderton - Director
Monica Anderton is Secretary and Vice chair of Derwentside Industrial
Group and has been involved with DIG for 20 years!
For real life, she
runs Monitan Information Consultants which specialises in market and
technical research, especially in biotechnology and environmental
matters. She is a Board member of Groundwork West Durham and is currently
studying to be an Indexer.
Peter Brumby - Vice Chairman
Peter is a locl acountant and business adviser with Charlton & Co, Chartered Accountants, South Shields. He has over 40years experience in accountancy. As well as being Vice Chair of BCNE, Peter is also Chairman of South Tyneside Business Network and Chairman of the South Tyneside Committee of the North East Chamber of Commerce.
Tony Spence - Chairman
Tony Spence is one of London & Cambridge Properties Limited (LCP) Regional Estate Managers. LCP are a commercial property company with a portfolio of industrial and retail properties right across the country in excess of 12 million square feet held for long-term investment purposes.
Tony works from Enterprise City the company’s most northern industrial site situated on the Green Lane Industrial Estate near Spennymoor. The site comprises of 45 light industrial units ranging from 900-16,888 sq. ft., an office complex of 10,000 sq. ft. with a further 3 large 42,500 sq. ft. warehouses making a total of approximately 300,000 sq. ft.
On a day to day basis Tony deals with the general aspect of estate management, such as the maintenance programme, control of contractors, liaison with tenants, all site health & safety aspects, budget control, marketing and valuations.
